Kris Muller is an engineer specialising in mine closure and geotechnical engineering. With a background in geotechnical engineering since mid-2021, Kris applies both technical expertise and practical experience to deliver safe, effective, and economically viable mine rehabilitation solutions. Since 2023, he has focused exclusively on mine rehabilitation, delivering holistic closure designs.

Kris Muller has a special interest and expertise in:
  • Landform Design – Development of stable, sustainable post-mining landscapes.
  • Water Management – Surface water control, drainage, and erosion mitigation.
  • Bulk Earthworks & Civil Drainage – Design and execution of large-scale earthmoving and drainage systems.
  • Capping & Cover Designs – Design of effective cover systems for long-term environmental compliance.
  • PRCP Development – Contribution to Progressive Rehabilitation and Closure Planning (PRCP).
  • On-Site Execution – Hands-on involvement in closure construction and implementation.
  • Cost Optimisation – Refining designs to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
