Jim Pruss

Jim is a highly qualified and experienced industry leader with an outstanding record of achievement in the water industry. He joined Engeny in January 2019 and is an expert generalist with a comprehensive understanding of the industry, its disciplines, challenges, opportunities, risks and complexities. 

Jim is skilled and experienced in government and stakeholder liaison, Ministerial briefing, regulatory interactions, emergency and incident management, workplace health and safety regulations and application, environmental management, dam management and water supply and wastewater management and operations.

Jim has managed the entire range of industry assets from catchments to dams and irrigation assets, water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, desalination and advanced recycled plants. He has also managed customer services, asset management and maintenance, asset delivery, asset planning, strategic planning, risk management, regulatory pricing, Research and Development and climate change. 

Jim has experience as General Manager in multiple roles and organisations and also has experience as CEO, both appointed and acting.He has held numerous positions in specialist and support disciplines including Workplace Health and Safety, Environment, Regulator Liaison, Engineering Services, International Programs, Program and Project Manager, Competency Assessor, Y2K Co-ordinator, SCADA, Network Manager and Business Development.
