Col joined the Brisbane team in February 2022 as a Principal Soil Scientist with 25 years consulting experience both here in Australia and overseas. Col specialises in erosion, sediment and flocculation, soil and plant analysis, interpretation, site stability, providing vegetative solutions and vegetation assessment. Col has worked on Gold, Coal, Bauxite, Manganese, Limestone mining sites, Railway lines, landslide remediation, creek diversions, several airports and highway projects plus Coal Seam Gas and major Power projects. Col became a Specialist in the Australian Horticultural Industry in 2005 and achieved CPESC status in 2011 through the International Erosion Control Association (IECA).

Colin Schiller has a special interest and expertise in:
  • Mine site closure and rehabilitation planning and assessment.
  • Erosion and sediment control (planning, supervising and auditing).
  • Soil, sap and vegetation testing and interpretation.
  • Stabilising construction works for Airports, Highways, Water/ Gas pipelines, Power projects.
  • Vegetating steep batters (ie; landslide degraded slopes).
  • Running training in ERSED and Vegetative Rehabilitation.
